The Center for University Accreditation of the Korean Council for University Education (KCUE) conducted two cycles of voluntary university institutional evaluations of its member universities from 1982-1985 and 1988-1992. It then conducted two cycles of formal albeit voluntary rounds of institutional accreditations under the Comprehensive University Accreditation System from 1994-2000 and 2001-2006. The results of the most recent cycle of the latter system are available below by year.

Accreditation of the Council’s member universities will continue in 2011 under the new Institutional Accreditation System.
