Higher Education Training Institute of KCUE provided training programs for the administrative staffs working in universities at InterBulgo Hotel in Daegu from September 5th to 7th, 2007

The workshop had three different programs for the trainees working in different sections the first one was for the staffs working in department of general affairs and management; the second one was a coaching-leadership course, and the last program was for librarians as well as for the administrative staffs working in university libraries. 

Topics discussed in the first program were as follows: strategies for the innovation of university administration, good practices of management of university HR system, approaches to strengthening competitiveness by changing physical environment, etc.

HR evaluation was also one of the popular topics discussed in this program.

During the second session, lectures on various subjects -the essence of leadership such as the definition of leadership and the characteristics of global leaders, coaching skills, coaching consultations, leadership development plan and so on- were provided. General discussion and presentation on the same themes were held as well.

In the third session, issues on university library policy and system management, user services, and statistics scheme for measurement of task completion were discussed. Especially, the issue of ‘copyright’ called the most attention of the participants.
