Higher Education Training Center (HETI) of KCUE held workshops titled as “effective teaching skills: strategy and practice” and “production of teaching contents utilizing digital media”.
 
 41 professors from 18 universities participated in the former workshop to learn how to improve lecture quality and to develop new teaching skills.

 The courses provided in the workshop were mainly practical ones: ‘effective lecture planning and teaching tips,’ ‘practical teaching planning’ (writing teaching plan, micro-teaching training, teaching process of problem-based learning (PBL), case study of PBL, designing problems in PBL practice, lecturing in mixed ways), and ‘discussion for application of effective lecture’.
 
 Participants in the latter were 47 professors from 22 universities who are interested in learning the way to create and utilize lecture contents in digital media format.

 This workshop also provided practical training programs as seen in the titles of the courses: ‘building foundation for good use of digital multimedia (educational environment and digital media in the ubiquitous generation)’, ‘understanding digital media and related software (introduction and present situation of using digital media, understanding and actual production of sound/image/movie clips, editing by digital media and actual usage)’, ‘production of digital media teaching material and application of web resources’, ‘joint ownership of teaching material and its application/ordering teaching resources (opening digital media website, uploading teaching material and its use, adding new teaching material on web board and its demonstration, review on major training parts)’.
