On May 13th, KCUE and the Korean Employment Information Service (KEIS) held the 1st jointly-sponsored symposium entitled “University Graduates' Courses of Career Change” in the COEX Conference Center.
Courses of career change means how the university graduates enter a job market and move on to another job. The purpose of this symposium was to establish an employment policy by promoting and expanding the use of the data on university graduates' courses of career change to cope with unemployment of highly educated manpower, discrepancy between jobs and needs, vocational training, vocational counseling and job arrangement.
About 150 people from universities, the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET), Korean Educational Development Institute (KEDI), and the Korean Labour Education Association (KLEA) participated in this symposium and had an in-depth discussion.
