On May 28-30 the KCUE’s Higher Education Training Center held a workshop for university administrators of student affairs at the Hotel Riviera in Taejŏn; attendees included 63 administrators from 59 schools.
The workshop covered cases of sexual violence and counseling occurring in student activities, examples of managing a women’s support program, plans for promoting student service activities, negotiation skills, and ideas regarding student leadership that match new students’ thought processes.
The workshop also provided an opportunity to better understand student support services and the needs and well-being of the consumers of education.
Attendees were able to gain additional expertise in student affairs administration, develop updated ideas for student guidance that reflect the actions and thought processes of a new student generation, and foster skills needed to support a pleasing campus atmosphere in consideration of each schools’ circumstances.
Attendees’ increased their practical administrative experience through department-specific discussions on supporting student activities, providing student guidance, and negotiating registration fees.
