<b><center>Park Chong Yul Inaugurated as Secretary-General of KCUE</center></b>

On August 4th Park Chong Yul was inaugurated as the 8th Secretary-General of the KCUE in the main lobby of KCUE headquarters in Seoul, South Korea. His term of office will extend to April of 2010.

Park graduated from Seoul National University and the University of Pittsburg and has been a professor of education at Kyungpook National University since 1982. He also worked as director of the previous Department of Accreditation at the KCUE, president of the Korea Society for the Economics and Finance of Education, and president of the Korea Society for the Studies of Educational Administration.

Park remarked at the inauguration ceremony that he would do his best to become an effective modulator and messenger between the government and universities to achieve complete autonomy in university admissions by 2012.
